ACPA Launch Announcement – May 7, 2014

We are pleased to announce the official formation of The American College of Physician Advisors, Inc. (ACPA), effective May 07, 2014! This newly formed entity has at its core the mission to enhance the profession of the Physician Advisor on all levels, including the many integral interfaces we encounter across the spectrum of healthcare.

Organized by a group of highly experienced Physician Advisor leaders, this physician-led organization will seek to become a unified source of collegial education, idea-sharing, and overall clinical/administrative support to help develop the skill sets needed for this exciting and expansive profession.

An Executive Board has been selected with Ronald J. Rejzer, MD (Senior Vice President, Chief Physician Advisor, Parkland Hospital, Dallas, Tx) serving as President and E. G. “Nick” Ulmer, Jr., MD (Vice President of Clinical Services of Spartanburg, SC Regional Healthcare System) serving as Vice President. Other officers of the Executive Board include Daniel Zirkman, MD as Secretary and Larry Field, DO, MBA as Treasurer. Additional Board members include: Howie Stein, DO, MHA, Bernie Ravitz, MD, Hossain Marandi, MD, MBA, and Michael Salvatore, MD.

Soon to follow will be the launching of a new and informative web site dedicated to our ACPA members that will include educational information, core curriculum content, certification information, templates for job descriptions, postings for job opportunities, important CME and conference information, networking contacts and much, much more!
