Vice President of Member Engagement
Reports to: President
Tenure: Two years. May be reappointed to this position for an additional term.
Function: The Vice President of Member Engagement is responsible for strategic input and leadership of implementation related to member growth and satisfaction. The time commitment is expected to be ten hours per week. The Vice President of Member Engagement serves as a member of the Executive Committee.
Principal Activities:
- Participate in Executive Committee discussions (at least two one-hour monthly meetings).
- Lead and participate in the ACPA’s mentorship program, Cultivating Physician Advisor Leaders (CPAL).
- Collaborate with and oversee the roles of Editor and Webmaster at least monthly.
- Working with the marketing team, assist with thought creation for posts on ACPA social media accounts (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and potentially others).
- Utilize social media daily (at least five days per week) to promote the College and College programs and engage the community. This includes reviewing and responding to comments on ACPA posts, targeted amplification of ACPA content, and promoting ACPA/ACPA members in comments on other social media postings, as appropriate.
- Review and approve member activities such as surveys, special communications, and requests, and guide member engagement documents, policies, and action plans.
- Participation in other activities and initiatives as requested by ACPA leadership.
Requirements:
- Physician degree (MD, MBBS, DO)
- ACPA member with current ACPA membership for at least five years
- ACPA-C credential is preferred [commitment to earn the credential within three months of accepting the position is acceptable]
- At least five years of experience as a physician advisor in any capacity
- Enjoys close collaboration with others.
