ACPA has Announced their Newest Member of the Board of Directors

Carolyn DuttonThe American College of Physician Advisors is pleased to announce Carolyn Dutton MD, FACEP, FACP has joined the Board of Directors.

Dr. Dutton has been a system level Physician Advisor with Atrium Health since 2017 and the Medical Director of University City Wound Care Center since 2016. 

“Dr. Carolyn Dutton has been a true powerhouse for the ACPA, serving as both co-chair of our Government Affairs Committee and for this year's National Physician Advisor Conference taking place in October,” said ACPA President Juliet B. Ugarte Hopkins, MD “Her clear and direct manner of leading a group to achieve stated goals is invaluable to the College as we continuously work toward our shared mission of providing the most comprehensive guidance and education to physician advisors around the country.  I am so very pleased to welcome Dr. Dutton into the ACPA Board of Directors!” 

Dr. Dutton is board certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She completed medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine and her training at Allegheny General Hospital where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Dutton is also board certified in health care quality and management with a physician advisor sub-specialty by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Physicians (ABQAURP). 

“I am humbled and honored to join the Board of Directors for ACPA to provide guidance to Physician Advisors in the field and help patients get the care they need,” said Dr. Dutton.
